Ocean Dragon is available for charter use for serving, ex-serving armed forces personnel and RNSA members. The lead charter must fall into the above catagories, the remainder of the crew can be non-eligible (friends and family).

Bareboat Charter

Bareboat charter is available to serving, ex-serving armed forces personnel and RNSA members.. The lead charter must fall into the above categories but the remainder of the crew may be non-eligible personnel for example friends and family. The charter personnel must hold a minimum of RYA Day Skipper qualification and one other crew member with a Competent Crew qualification.

Free Taster Sails

 

No qualifications necessary. Just turn up and try out sailing for a day, subject to skipper availability. In order to promote sailing we can now offer free "Taster Sailing". This is open to serving forces from the Plymouth region only.

A qualified skipper will take you sailing for a day as an introduction to yacht cruising. All safety equipment and clothing will be provided.

There will be up to 5 places on each Taster Sail. Please email to register your interest.

 

If you wish to be added to our database please email your details including sailing qualifications (if held), any events or dates you are available and any other information that may be relevant.

Help Out

Anyone with skills or knowledge in this area can volunteer to help keep the boat in good condition. In return for these services we can arrange use of the yacht at either a discounted price or free depending on the work undertaken.

 

 

 Find Crew / Help Out

The Establishment Officer is currently building a database, the areas will be:

  • Qualified Instructor willing to run practical RYA courses

  • Qualified to or above RYA Dayskipper and willing to take crews sailing

  • Qualified to RYA Competent Crew and willing to crew for other parties

  • Unqualified but want to go sailing!

  • Skilled or available to help with maintanance or handovers on the yacht (all efforts will be rewarded)
